Director
Frédéric
Forestier was eventually approached by Nu Image to make The
Peacekeeper 2, but he refused.
"
"I discovered the hell of cheap American action films. I
shot it in 37 days with the budget constantly being cut. For
the choreographed fight scenes, which should have been shot in
four days, I eventualy got an afternoon only." A little bitter by this experience,
Forestier then refuses some Peacekeeper 2,3 & 4 and even From
Dusk till Dawn 3, produced by Dimension..."
"This when they tried
to get me sign a contract on a table's corner that I felt they
didn't give a shit about the B movies they produced."
from Starfix, # 16, January 2001 (translated from French)
Dolph
Lundgren may have been asked to do it too, but first he must
have refused, and we also know that Nu Image doesn't really care
about keeping the original team for their sequels given that
they "grossed some money" with the first of the franchise
think the B movie audience is gonna rent the sequels, see their
series of Cyborg Cop, Shadowchaser,
Octopus, Spider, U.S. Seals, Shark Attack and I
forget some...
