Rumour has it that Dolph
has signed on to star in the movie version of this popular computer
game, playing the army action-guy who must stop an evil half-robotic-faced
Doctor and his goons. (although Apogee states that they "can
not confirm that.")
I am NOT SURE that Lundgren has
really been involved in it.
"Joe Siegler of Apogee
says that according to George Broussard "This Dolph Lundgren
thing for a Duke Nukem movie is untrue. Nothing has been signed
for a movie, and nothing has been cast." " from Blue's
Note (August 1997)
Anyway apparently he won't do
it, after the recent videogames adaptations Tomb Raider
and the upcoming Resident Evil, the Duke
Nukem project now seems to have re-entered in pre-production
with an other actor.
This movie could have bring Dolph
back to success and popularity, except that I wouldn't expect
anything from the project in terms of screenplay or character
development. |
